Garden Party Revisited with Camera!

This has NOTHING to do with the garden party except it was a guest there who was parked outside our cottage in a stunning 1958 (or so) Jaguar XK140 Sedan.

Dandelions are considered a wildflower here- not a nuisance. Jane thought this was a particularly lovely stand.

Another of Jane's garden cat.

I'll just let you "wander" through the garden with us including some shots of various sculpture pieces. Don't know if you've noticed, but you can click on any image to enlarge it significantly. Another click beside it will send you back to the blog. Enjoy!

A smaller vegetable garden hidden away behind a wall.

Now *THAT* is what you call rhubarb!!

This fox was staring up at the rooster above. The rooster was sitting atop a post.

This fox was on the run being chased by the hound below. You'll see the two of them from behind in a later photo. The dog is sniffing furiously trying to keep on the scent as he tracks.

One of Jane's favorites: "An English Robin" which are famous in English children's books but not found in America.

Here's a partial glimpse of part of their main house. There are several other adjoining buildings as well including the one which covers the indoor pool.

LOVELY!

And the people are more gracious than you can possibly imagine. One of the adult sons came up to Jane and gave her kisses (European style) this afternoon saying "You're back again and that makes family so you get 'loves' now!" LOL! Jane mentioned something about her love of true English orange marmalade and as we were leaving he rushed into the house and brought out a jar of his mother's homemade orange marmalade for her to take. "Here! You HAVE to try mum's if you like orange marmalade." LOVELY people indeed.

Your neighbors remind me of the Railway Children. Sweet.
What a beautiful garden.
Thanks for sharing with us. It seems like you are very at home there.
