A late afternoon ramble down a nearby bridle path

Here's Jane's cat that's often found sitting on the back wall of our cottage patio area.

The yellow you see in the distance is common here; mustard fields. I had some local mustard today at lunch and it's nothing like French's! Its quite strong with a vaguely "horseradish-like" quality that "opens" your sinuses when you inhale it. It's common here to see 1000's of acres of brilliant yellow mustard growing in fields for as far as the eye can see.

Another distant mustard field and a beautiful cottage a short distance from the bridle path.

A young lad and his dog walking ahead of us. He's wearing tall Wellington boots which as you can see was a good idea given all the rain this week. We just picked our way carefully around the worst of the puddles and ponds.

A view through the hedgerow across an adjoining field.

Another private bridle path which was gated and locked.

Sheep seem to abound here. These were several hundred yards away but we couldn't get closer because of deep mud further along the path.

Another unique cottage door just across the road from our cottage. No two are the same. This one looks rather like the ghost of old Marley might suddenly come to life if Scrooge were to rap on it firmly.
